FAQ'S
We thought it would be helpful to capture some of the questions we get asked most often. If there's something we haven't covered, please drop us an email and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
I want to buy a shirt, why can't I?
Our shirts are sold in fields of 100 and are only available four times a year in the lead up to each of the major golf championships.
Once they are sold out we close our shop to focus on making the shirts, while designing our next one.
Our first shirt - The Fife - will be available on our webshop soon. We’ll let you know when it’s going live.
Fields? What on earth are you banging on about?
The average number of players in a Major Championships is 100. We thought that was a neat number to aim to make each time, and we just preferred the word ‘field’ to ‘batch’.
Where can I buy Big Draw?
Our website is the only place to buy a Big Draw shirt.
To give you the best chances of getting a shirt, it's best to be on the product page of the shirt that you want. Also, you'll need to decide your size (link to size page from that word) before they go live.
Pro tip.
People who subscribe to our newsletter ‘The Course planner’ get to pre-order and guarantee themselves a shirt before anyone else.
How long are the shirts available for?
Our shirts are available on a first-come first serve basis. Each field goes live on a Saturday at 9am UK time.
At this point, we’ve never launched before so we don’t know if our shirts will sell out quickly or slowly so your best bet is to be on the product page of our site when the shirts go live.
If you'd like insider access to releases before the general public, sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know when it’ll be happening.
What number will I get on my shirt?
Our shirts really are limited edition. We only make 100 at a time (across all sizes and colour-ways) so each shirt we make is numbered by us, by hand in the order in which they are sold. Whilst it’s a bit of a ball-ache doing all that numbering, it does mean each shirt we make is truly unique to you and something we hope you’ll cherish for a really long time.
How do I know what size I am?
We are in the process of developing our first shirt at the moment and will have a size guide locked down soon.
We will be making shirts from Small through to XL. For now, our fit is based on men’s bodies, but that doesn’t mean women can’t buy them, and that we won’t be making women's shirts in the future.
If you're unsure about your size or have any questions, please drop us an email or direct message us via Instagram at @bigdrawgolf. We'll be happy to help.
Where are your shirts made?
We’ll always make our shirts with the factory best suited to the design we’ve come up with, but our first shirt is being made by a factory in Portugal. The factory we’re working with make extremely high-quality garments, and our shirt won’t be any different.
How long until I get my shirt?
We don't like waste, so we make our shirts once we know what exact sizes and colours we're making. The making process takes around 6-8 weeks.
We keep you informed at every step of the way, showing you your shirt being made and where it's up to behind the scenes in weekly updates.
So if it's made to order, can I return if it doesn't fit me?
Of course! We do everything we can to minimise the chances of your shirt not fitting, however, it can happen, and we will make sure you're not out of pocket.
If your shirt doesn't fit, you just need to return it in perfect unworn condition, and it will go to a happy home to the next person on our waitlist. Full exchange and returns information is here.
Do you accept all payment types?
We accept all major credit cards on our website, however, we do not accept PayPal payments.
I'm based in Europe, what has changed because of Brexit?
We are looking into this at the moment. One idea is to work with a distribution partner to ship EU orders directly from Portugal, so customers do not need to pay additional charges.
Stay tuned to this page for updates.
Why don't you just make more?
A lot of people ask why we don't make more. There are 2 reasons why:
- We don't like waste. Wasted fabric, or wasted shirts. That's why we limit production. We're careful to grow slowly as we want to keep a close eye on quality.
- Our fabric is made bespoke, a process that starts many weeks before the shirts go on sale. That means knowing how many we are selling long in advance of a launch.
I missed out, what do I do?
If you don't manage to get a shirt when they go on sale, you can join the waiting list.
You'll find the link to join our waiting lists at the bottom of our newsletters.
How do I find out about the next shirt?
To see what we're working on next, we'd recommend signing up for our newsletter or following us on Instagram here.
How do I wash my shirt?
Please check the label inside with instructions for your specific shirt, most are machine washable, and if you love to iron your stuff it’s best to iron from the inside out.
How do I apply for the shipping discount?
The discount is automatically applied at checkout. Once a valid delivery address is entered the shipping discount will be applied to your order. This discount is subject to change and can be removed by Big Draw Golf Ltd at any time.
